Odyssey Booster Packs are *NOT* Random
Anonymous

What follows is a list of the order that rares occur in booster packs in Odyssey. What this list means is, that if you open a particular rare in a booster, the pack *underneath* that one in the same box will probably have the next card in the list. So for example if you open a Mirari, the pack underneath will probably have Nefarious Lich. Foils are *not* part of the sequence; if the pack below Mirari has a foil, then the pack below that one will probably have a Nefarious Lich. The sequence loops around; the pack after Graceful Antelope will probably have a Mirari.

The list has been extensively verified. It works for every box. Most rares will be followed by the next card in the sequence. Breaks only occur a few times per box, either for a foil or to jump to a different part of the sequence.

It is our hope that rares will be more randomized in the future, to prevent people from taking advantage of the order by buying only packs with good rares. We present this list to prevent some people from having an advantage over others.

In the meantime, if you are a store owner, please shuffle your packs after opening a booster box, so that no-one can come into the store and "cherry-pick" the box for the high-value rares. If you are a tournament organizer, please shuffle the packs that the players use for limited events. If you are a player, please tell the store owners and tournament organizers you know to shuffle their packs.
